Orman İyeleri - Forest Workshop #1
"Forest Calls Its Members” 🌀 Ida Mountains, April 16th In our approach to forest pedagogy, we engaged participants in a range of immersive activities, starting with forest rituals and storytelling to establish a cultural and spiritual connection to nature, followed by creating art using materials sourced directly from the forest. We explored the local flora and fauna, delving into the diversity of trees, plants, and mushrooms, and integrated interactive games and observations of microorganisms to enhance our understanding of the forest ecosystem. Practical skills were also a key component, with participants learning to build shelters and master essential survival techniques such as tool use and fire-making. Our sessions concluded with a communal picnic and a closing circle where everyone bonded over a shared meal, music, and songs.
